Clemson, SC —South Carolina is experiencing an evolving opioid crisis that is effecting everyone.  In South Carolina, opioid-related deaths increased 21 percent from 2014 to 2016.  Over the past three years, opioid-related deaths have outpaced homicides and drunken driving deaths by nearly double.

For many of our citizens, fans, and visitors the use of a golf cart for travel to and from the games shortens the wait time allowing us to spend more time enjoying the last days of summer and cheering for our favorite team. In the City of Clemson there are a variety of ways to get around, whether walking, riding the CAT BUS, bicycling, or driving a car.  One area of concern is in pedestrian safety.  According to numerous studies, pedestrians being injured in collisions with motor vehicles has dropped dramatically since the 1970’s, however they still represent an area to improve in safety.  Game days show all too well how much of an influx in pedestrian and vehicular traffic can take place........
